Book Club Weekly Club - Weeks 17/18/19/20

Good afternoon everyone!

Firstly, please accept my sincere apologies for the lapse in posts! It’s been extremely busy over here in Service & Support but we’re touch wood seeing a lull now so I’m able to devote some time back to you all! I hope you’ve all had a productive few weeks. To make up for the lost weeks, as the title suggests I’m combining the posts for weeks 17,18,19 and 20 together to create ONE MASSIVE BOOK MONSTER! I hope your week has been lovely!

Weeks 17,18,19 and 20 saw us reading the following:

  1. The Authenticity Project - Clare Pooley
  2. The Storyteller - Jodi Picoult
  3. The Quiet at the End of the World - Lauren James
  4. Mr Penumbra’s 24 Hour Bookstore - Robin Sloan

Below, are our usual 8 questions that are asked each week. For this monster club, could I ask that you start your responses with the name of the book/books you’ve read? That way people can just look for the replies relevant to them and their reads:

  1. What was your favourite part of the book?
  2. What was your least favourite?
  3. What did you think of the writing? Are there any standout sentences?
  4. Did reading the book impact your mood? If yes, how so?
  5. What surprised you most about the book?
  6. How did your opinion of the book change as you read it?
  7. How does the book’s title work in relation to the book’s contents? If you could give the book a new title, what would it be?
  8. How did it impact you? Do you think you’ll remember it in a few months or years?

As always, you can answer some or all of the questions, it’s up to you! As always, please be mindful and respectful of everyone’s opinions, we’re here to have fun, (hopefully) enjoy the book and make some friends along the way!

Apologies again for my absence! However, I will see you next Friday for our TWENTY FIRST book of the year which is The Girl with the Louding Voice - Abi Daré.
