My box office system isn’t compatible, can I still contribute ticketing data?

If your organisation uses a ticketing system that is not yet supported by the Audience Finder Data Tools (see a list of supported ticketing systems here) we may still be able to accept ticketing data from you via our Manual Files solution.

The Manual Files solution requires organisations to manually output their ticketing data into a format that is accepted by our data extraction system.

Please see the Data Spec document below, which outlines exactly how the Manual Files should be outputted. Once the file specification has been met, the data will be accepted by the Data Extraction Client (DEC) application (a piece of software installed on your computer or server), which securely transfers your data into Audience Finder from your own box office environment.

To ensure the DEC can be installed on your computer or server, please take a look at the DEC Prerequisites document below. Please note, the DEC is only Windows compatible and not currently supported on Macs.

If you believe your system will be able to output these Manual Files to the accepted specification and your computer or server can host the DEC, please get in touch with us on tixteam@theaudienceagency.org and we will answer any questions you might have about getting your ticketing data into the Audience Finder Data Tools.

What happens next?

Usually, we’ll ask you to send us a test batch of Manual Files via the secure file transfer site MailBigFile. Your test files should cover a month’s worth of historical ticketing data: for example, data for all tickets sold in February 2021.

Following a successful test file upload, we will be in touch to either schedule an installation of the DEC via screenshare, or with bespoke instructions on how to install and configure the DEC application yourself.

After installing the DEC, we advise you to make regular data uploads (weekly or monthly) via the DEC, so you can regularly contribute data. This way your stats and insights stay up to date.
