Which core survey questions are available on Audience Finder Original?

The Audience Finder survey consists of a set of core questions, which are compulsory for all participating organisations, alongside any optional (‘premium’) questions you’ve chosen to add.

Below is a list of all the core questions available for analysis and benchmarking via Audience Finder Original.

Data visualisation: Bar chart and data table, grouped by month

Previous visits for organisations with a year-round offer

CQ14: Have you visited [organisation/event] before today?
Data visualisation: Doughnut chart and data table, series grouped by ‘First timers’, ‘Last visit more than a year ago’, ‘Visited on another occasion in the past 12 months’.

CQ15: (If yes in the last 12 months) Including today, how many times have you visited [organisation/event] in the last 12 months?

Previous visits for organisations with a yearly offer (e.g. festivals)

CQ3: Prior to this year, had you attended [organisation/event] before?
CQ4: When did you last attend [organisation/event], before this year?

Artform

AV3: Which of the following best describes the performance/event you saw?
Data visualisation: Doughnut chart and data table. Additionally, once 150 responses have been collected for an artform it is possible to filter all dashboard survey metrics by that artform.

Group composition

GP1: Are you visiting with other people today?
GP2, GP3, GP4: If yes, how many of those you are visiting with are aged… (this does not include yourself)
Data visualisation: From this question four data visualisations are derived:

  • Group size (bar chart and data table) and Median group size figure.
  • Age profile (bar chart and data table).
  • Group Type grouped into ‘Single adult’, ‘With child/children only’, ‘With other adult(s) only’, ‘With other adult(s) and child/children’ categories (bar chart and data table).

Motivation, all & main

Gender

There are two versions of this question, CQ17 is the standard version and CQ20 will be used in your survey if you are a Scottish Regularly Funded Organisation.

Ethnic group

There are four versions of this question, CQ8 and CQ9 are the standard versions and either CQ21 or CQ22 will be used in your survey if you are a Scottish Regularly Funded Organisation.

Disability

There are two versions of this question – one using a social model of disability, and one using a medical model. Both versions are viewable on the Audience Finder Original dashboard.

CQ19 social model: Do you identify as a D/deaf or disabled person, or have a long-term health condition?
CQ10 medical model: Are your day-to-day activities limited because of a health problem or disability which has lasted, or is expected to last, at least 12 months?

Place of residence

This set of questions enable us to map the distribution of UK audiences. Postcode data is also used to profile respondents using Audience Spectrum.
